WORK HISTORY: She began her working career chopping and picking cotton with her family in Lubbock, Texas, every year while attending elementary school in Amarillo. After graduating from Draughon's Business College, she worked for the U.S. Attorney for about a year and then was hired by the Department of Defense at Amarillo Air Force Base as a security clerk, logistics clerk, and personnel clerk. Claudia married and moved to Fort Worth in 1969 and began her FAA career with the Fort Worth Air Carrier District Office the old Greater Southwest Airport as an aviation clerk-stenographer (GS-1). Her career took her to the FAA Southwest Regional Office where she worked as a secretary (GS-4) and payroll technician (GS-5). In July 1984, the payroll office functions were transferred to Atlanta, Georgia, which caused Claudia to be placed in the Air Traffic Division's Operations Branch as branch secretary (GS-5). While in the Operations Branch, she was detailed in 1989 to the Civil Rights Office for 120 days working in the position as EEO Specialist. In 1990, she was then promoted to the secretary of the Air Traffic Division (GS-6/7). Claudia was again promoted in October 1994 to her last position of Administrative Officer at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Traffic Control Tower/Tracon(GS-7/9/11). In that position, she was responsible for the tracking of budget allocations, processing of all personnel actions, preparation of all travel authorizations/voucher, ordering of all supplies, and administrative assistant for all of the facility employees (234).

Claudia retired January 3, 2002, with 35 years of federal government service. At FAA she actively worked with the Federal Women's Program, Federal Business Association, Toys for Tots, and the DFW Federal Executive Board Women's Committee, representing her division. She is currently a substitute teacher in the FWISD in elementary and secondary education.

She accepted the call from God to preach the gospel on May 26,1997, and is an active advocate for the things of God. She believes in handling the truth of God, truthfully. Claudia tries to share the truth on a daily basis at home, community, and within all organizations she is affiliated. It is her belief that daily personal bible study, quiet time, prayer, praise, and worship are pertinent to personal strength and growth. Her positive attitude brings life and joy into any setting.

She enjoys reading, spectator sports, walking, and hanging out with the grandchildren. Her favorite Scripture is Psalm 34:1, which says, "I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." She too, like Paul, just wants to know more about her FATHER.

Claudia is married to Rev. James Williams (34 years). They have 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter (born on January 1, 2000).

REMEMBER: It is what we do with the dash between when we are born and when we die that is important.
