The times are a-changin'
It looks like me and Amelie are going to have to figure out how to get this computer on by ourselves because Max is getting
adopted!! JJ says he is going to live where it is really cold and that he will be "Max of Minner Soda". Max usually
turns the computer on for us by running into it with his head so I'm not sure how we will do it now. Tita says that she doesn't
see why she can't do it with her paw, but I don't know -- I think you might have to hit is just right.
We're not sure where Minner Soda is, but we will be glad that Max will be indoors if it is cold. Wait! What? Tita says it
isn't Minner Soda, it is ManySoda. O.K. JJ says there is a really nice lady named Anne that saw Max' picture on the internet
and just thought he was the most handsome boy she had ever seen. This lady has LOTS of black cats, thinking they are most
beautiful of all.
We will miss Max but we are glad that he is going to a home where he will be a special addition. Amelie says she is going
to miss getting her face washed most of all.
And that's not all. Someone wants to adopt Nikita TOO!! Nikita met them at the adoption fair today and she says they were
real nice -- scary, but nice. Of course, Nikita thinks everything is scary until she gets used to it. She said the man held
her all close and warm and said some really sweet things to her. They looked at Amelie, too, but they thought Nikita was just
so special.
The neat thing is that they already have a cat for Nikita to be friends with. Nikita really likes having another cat around
because she gets nervous when she is lonely. I'm afraid that Nikita will cry a bit when she goes to her new home -- because
she does get lonely -- but I hope that she can remember what JJ has told us -- that it might be scary at first but we are
going off on a wonderful adventure where we will be loved and be able to love for the rest of our lives.
Now, let's see, that leaves me, Melody, Tita and Amelie. And, don't tell the other cats because we don't want to hurt their
feelings -- but me and Tita hope JJ might just adopt us if she can find the other kitties a home!! I wonder if that could
be true. I sure hope so!

A Fun Weekend
Boy did we ever get lucky this weekend. JJ decided not to take us to the adoption fair because she had lots of work to do
on the computer at home. Hurrah!! Not only did we get to stay home, JJ was here with us. I laid in her arms while she worked
and assisted her with all that she had to do. I'm not sure why she gets a little upset when I walk on the keyboard. Can't
she see from this website that I am a good typist?
Then, today, I got into the laundry basket when it was full of warm and comfy clothes. I made tunnels and played until JJ
got all of the clothes out and put them in the big boxes. Then, JJ started changing all of our beds and she laid the big furry
bed on the floor and me and Max tunneled in it, too. AND, we got to eat dinner early -- at 4:30!!
JJ has been trying to get the big grey tabby to stay inside. Today she got him and put him on the couch with her. Max was
over there and he said the big cat purred the whole time and he could tell he wasn't afraid of JJ but as soon as she let go,
he was back by the door. JJ has been putting things in the machine that makes the windy noise and taking them out and putting
them in his house. I think that makes it warm.
Even though we didn't go to the adoption fair this weekend, SOMEBODY might be getting adopted!!! Can you guess who? Me, no.
Amelie, no. Melody, no. MAX-A-MILLION!!! You would have never guessed him, I'll bet!! This really neat lady in Minnesota saw
him on the website for the special cats and she LIKES him!! If he goes, he will have to fly on an airplane with JJ. What an
adventure!! I wonder if he will send us a postcard? I wonder if he will be able to turn on that lady's computer with his head?
Hmmmmmm. I wonder who could be next. Amelie, the brave and beautiful; Melody, the squeaky fussbudget who loves to be loved;
Nikita, the gorgeous scaredy-cat; Tita, the silly flopper kitty or ME! OREGANO THE GREAT!!
You know what, though? I think JJ really wants to keep me!! We just "got a thing going on" if you know what I mean.
I told her I would be o.k. if she needs to adopt me out -- but I would sure be happy to stay right here also. Me and Jinx-y
get along pretty good and even the big grey tabby will sniff noses with me.
Better go help JJ work on her address book. I need to tell her who to put in and who to leave out!! Heeheehee.

Yaaaaaaaaaawn!!
We haven't written in a while. Max was in a bad mood and refused to come upstairs and turn the computer on with his head.
Hey!! I'll bet that silly Oregano could do it, too.
Max is going to the vet on Friday because he has had a belly ache for a few days. One time he really messed up and got poop
on his legs -- then JJ had to put him in the bathtub. That was traumatic for both of them!! Max is such a sweet guy. It is
sad that he sometimes has bathroom problems which make folks not want to get to know him. He is mostly so sweet and loves
to lick me and Tita and Nikita and clean our faces. Lots of times, he will come and snuggle with us just because he loves
us.
Oregano almost got adopted!! She was pretty sure she was going to go to a nice lady and her son -- but, another person gave
the lady a cat and Oregano is staying here for now. JJ was CRYING when she thought Oregano was going to be adopted. I wonder
if she will cry when I get adopted? We don't like her to cry -- but we would be a little ticked off if she didn't miss us!!
Well, I need to finish my nap. Just thought I would catch up with the world. Not much happening at JJ's Kitty Shack lately.
