So I've spent the past 9 months of my life raving/playing/being a part of the community of Majestic The Game. It's been a bumpy ride to say the least. If you don't know what Majestic is ( I doubt it since everyone who checks this page has either heard of it from me.. or plays the game) check out the link. Considering that I don't consider myself a 'gamer' I've become pretty involved. I spend my work days idling in the majestic chat room, offering help when needed, being an active member of the gaming community, waiting on "Standby" for hours on end... I even met the executive producer of the game Neil Young at E3. I've met a lot of really interesting people there and we've become kind of a clique of friends. I've been all excited about the game... how Majestic is the new wave of gaming... how the game manages to track you and all the other players and coordinates when to phone/fax/IM/email everyone at the correct time... Now to my extreme.. but not so unexpected disappointment this "season" of episodes is going to end on episode 4. (I'm currently on 3) The development team is going back to the drawing board for the 2nd season and that won't be out until Spring 2002. I feel like I stuck around all this time rooting the dev. team on.. Hoping against all odds that they'd improve the game and get more ppl to stick with it.. and now I feel like they let us/me down. They're resorting to putting the whole first season on CD, boxing and selling it on the shelves just in time for the holiday season. An attempt to get some more revenues out of this game. I don't think i'll play when the 2nd season in Spring 2002 rolls around. I've lost most interest in even finishing the current episode. I feel like all my time and effort has been wasted.. i feel sorry for all the web developers who put in tons of time and money into fan sites... what a waste of everyones time.. it doesn't help that it's getting all gloomy and autumn-like out side.. making me even more gloomy >.< bah
