Please download the latest Virus Definition Update Installer from Symantec at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html .   Note that the look of the Symantic download page changes from time to time, but the information that you need is the same.  Select "English, US" and "Norton AnitVirus for Windows 95/98", then click on the "Download" link.  You MUST visit the Symantec site.  The links shown here are NOT active and site format has changed.

You MUST access the Symantic site.  The links shown on this page are for example only.
The file downloading will look something like "0630i32.exe" which shows version date June 30.  Please save the file to your desktop using the sugested name.  Once downloaded to your desktop, execute the file "double click on it" to update your Norton virus scan list.  Then delete the downloaded desktop file and begin the Norton scan.
