Norma Eiles

Norma Rose Eiles, 85, of 702 Michigan Ave., Fond du Lac, died on Saturday morning, Feb. 4, 1995, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Norma was born in Sheboygan on April 15, 1909, the daughter of the late Frank and Sophia (Schneidewind) Gessner.  She attended Sheboygan schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan High School.

On Sept. 20, 1930, she married Chester L. Eiles at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Chester preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1984.

Mrs. Eiles was a salesperson as H. C. Prange Company for many years, retiring in 1981.  She was a life-long member if Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, the Immanuel Lutheran Braille Workers and the Red Cross Canteen.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Ronald Ahrens, Fond du Lac; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Eiles, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Steven (Lynette) Ahrens, Fond du Lac; Ann (Jim) Gneiser, Fond du Lac; Gregg (Karen) Eiles, Janesville; and Beth (Bill) Casiday, Tomah; and five great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her son, Mark; and two brothers and a sister.

A funeral service will be held for Norma on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Herbert Stelter, pastor emeritus officiating.  Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the CHURCH, 1634 Illinois Ave., on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.

A memorial fund has been established, in Norma's name, for Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The staff of the Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, is serving the family.
