78, of 132 Market Street, Kohler, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday
afternoon. He had been in ill health for the past two years. He was born in
St. Petersburg, New York on July 17, 1870, the son of Albert and Lydia Pool. He came
to Sheboygan county with his parents, settling ion the town of Greenbush. In 1904 he
was married to Miss Cora Gerald of Sheboygan Falls. The couple moved to Kohler in
1912 where he was employed by the Kohler company as a carpenter for 32 years. He
retired about four years ago. Mr. Pool was a member of the First Congregational
church in Sheboygan and served as deacon for three years. He is survived by his
wife; two sons, Gerald and Owen of Sheboygan Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Albert
(Gertrude) Ehren of route 2, Sheboygan; Mrs. L. (Marion) Hamerla of Sheboygan and Mrs.
John (Lorraine) Maersch of Greenville, S.C.; three sisters, Mrs. James (Alice) Bruce of
Wild Rose, Mrs. George (Belle) Smith and Mrs. Fred (Grace) Daniels of Marshfield; two
brothers, Hubert of Plymouth and Byron of Greenbush and 12 grandchildren. One sister
and a brother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday
at the Dean Funeral home in Sheboygan Falls. The Rev. Wilford H. Evans, pastor of
the First Congregational church in Sheboygan will officiate and burial will be made in the
Kohler cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Sunday to the
time of services. |
