American Standard/Trane:
A Director within the corporate communications group, playing a key
role in both internal and external communications in this global, Fortune 250 diversified manufacturer with more than 60,000
employees.
Co-led the team that launched the company’s successful MyStandard
portal, which became a valuable tool used by 86 percent of employees on a regular basis.
Led two major redesigns of
AmericanStandard.com, turning the site into a vehicle for communicating with customers, investors and other key audiences.
America Online
Joined the company when it was a fast-growing
start-up with only 3,000 employees. Developed content and services to help new
members learn about and take advantage of the burgeoning online world.
Played a key role in creating an internal communication
operation serving more than 5,000 customer service representatives across six states.
Satisfaction with internal communications rose more than 20% during my tenure.
Early Career
Spent seven years managing communications for
the American Red Cross chapter serving Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. Moved
the organization from traditional print publishing for brochures and 60,000-circulation newsletter, to a fully electronic
publishing process. Under my leadership, the newsletter actually produced net
revenue.
