Broodmares
Foals

Riverbottom Farm's Broodmares speak for themselves through their gentle natures, extreme beauty, and correct conformation.  Most are proven mothers, in excellent health, and very VERY pampered!  Our newest addition is Baley (Breathless by Banter) 16 HH Hanoverian Mare.  Baley was lovingly acquired by Riverbottom Farm through the joint efforts of Wendy Costello of Riverland Farm, Wisconsin and Martha Kemmer of Full Circle Farm, North Carolina.  She takes her place in the broodmare band with the prestige of being our full Hanoverian representative!

THIS is what Donavan does to Sammie R.!!

Sammie R, aka "Justine", is our herd matriarch.  Proven mother to 2 Donavan foals, she is a kind, patient, and reliable mare.  I had the pleasure of working with her most recent colt, Ducati, at his Oldenburg inspection where he earned an impressive score of 7.9 and thrilled his owner!  At the age of 24, we have decided to allow Sammie to retire from breeding and enter the important stage of her life we like to call.... Auntie Sammie!  She has the perfect, patient, and gentle character to look after our weanlings in the coming years; congratulations, Sammie, on your retirement!

We welcome Dominique & Diamontaire!
Dominique is an exquisite Donavan daughter, MMB Oldenburg, and proven mother to Corielle, a Cor Noir filly.  Diamontaire, "Wedgie", is a spectacular Diamont daughter who can move-move-move!  Dominique has just delivered a 2007 colt by the fabulous Hanoverian stallion, Rapture R by Rotspon, owned by Ken Falk and standing at Hilltop Farm.  Wedgie has just been bred to Donavan for a 2008 foal!

Dominique is sweet and serene...

Main Mare Book Oldenburg

Dona Valiant, "Nellie", has only been with us a few years, but she will stay with us forever.  Her self-assured independence, serene nature, and sweetness combined with her awesome power and agility make her a joy to own and anticipate the perfect sport horse foals she will produce by Donavan.
Nellie is a large-boned, sure footed mare who competed to the Preliminary level of Eventing.  We cannot thank Kelly Theisen enough for providing us with this exceptional mare.  Nellie's 2008 foal by Donavan will be so special, Riverbottom Farm may decide to keep it; serious inquiries about reserving this little Eventing dynamo in-utero will only be entertained until we make our final decision!

Allie:

Grey Me Not (Allie):

Allie is a new, 7 yr old Jockey Club Thoroughbred that was just purchased; she is SO CALM and SO SWEET, with a gorgeous long hip and uphill conformation, I am holding my breath to see the Jumper-prospect she produces!  She will go to her Approvals this year, and be bred to Donavan for a 2009 foal.
