VENTURE: We arrived at the base camper's campground at the state park around 9:00. After assisting the younger base campers to assemble their campsite, the venture group traveled a short distance to a small beach property owned by one of the leaders. We set up our site by 11 o'clock, and some scouts decided to take a late-night swim. It was almost 3:00 in the morning when we finally got to sleep.

The next day, we went water-tubing, water-skiing, and swimming. The base campers joined us in the afternoon, then left for separate dinners. We then met up with them again at their campsite for a troop campfire, during which several flags were retired. Sunday morning, we all packed up and left for home.

The Venture scouts helped us set up camp after we arrived and then went to the lake. Saterday We had a good breakfast and then worked on advancements utill lunch. We ate a good lunch then changed into our bathing suits and headed to the lake. We went swimming and boating at the lake for a coulple of hours and then went to camp and cooked supper. Sunday we had a great breakfast and packed up camp. The Venture scouts Met us and the we had a church servise and the headed home. We had a great weakend.
