(Summary By Zack S.)
On Friday January 9th we left the church for our annual ski trip, this year to Ski Beech. The trip was unusual
from the beginning, as we had been hit with winter weather, schools closed, and some of us were worried that we would be snowed
out of a ski trip! We stopped on the way to eat dinner, and arrived at the tennis club where we would be staying. After getting
our gear inside the building, we spent the evening swimming in the indoor pool across the street. The next morning we had
a delicious breakfast prepared for us by the wonderful adult leaders (this is the only trip they do that for us guys, so don't
get used to it) and then made a pile of our stuff against one wall so that the shop could operate while we were skiing. We
arrived at Ski Beech and shortly thereafter had our skis and other equipment. It was 14 degrees when we got there, and ideal
skiing conditions. We had a wonderful day on the slopes, and we all left content. Back at the tennis shop we took down the
wall of gear and watched the amazing playoff game between the Panthers and the Rams. After the game, we had various activities
going on, including something that somewhat resembled tennis, some card games, and more swimming. Sunday morning we got everything
packed up and cleaned up, and set out for home. We had a terrific trip and are looking forward to next year's with anticipation.
