The schedule of events is as follows.  The times might vary

 

Friday 9/1 - US National Long Distance Championships

  • 9:00 – Registration and warm-ups
  • 10:00-18:00 – Long Distance Competition

 

Saturday 9/2 – US National Championships, Individuals Day 1

  • 8:00 – Registration and warm-up
  • 9:00 – Opening Ceremony/Mass boomerang throw
  • 9:30 – Tick Catch
  • 10:00 – Deadline for entry submission for the Design Competition
  • 11:30 – Maximum Time Aloft
  • 13:30 – Fast Catch
  • 15:30 – Endurance
  • 19:00 – Dinner, LD Awards, Day 1 Awards, Design Competition Awards, USBA meeting, USBA Auction

 

Sunday 9/3

US National Championships, Individuals Day 2

  • 9:00 – Accuracy
  • 11:00 – Australian Round

GLORP, On-field Awards Ceremony, TEAM Demonstration events

  • 13:00 – GLORP
  • 14:00 – On-field Awards Ceremony
  • 15:00 – Team events

 

Monday 9/4 - Public exhibitions, demonstrations, Team Gel games, and general fun.

·        MEGA/mini Contest - The rules are simple: 20 meter minimum range; the smallest returning boomerang wins the Mini-Boomerang contest; the largest boomerang wins the Mega-Boomerang contest.  The dimensions will be measured as the largest span possible across the boomerang.

·        GEL Games – Fun team games designed to provide fun for all levels of throwers.  Games have outlandish names such as Sprinkler Head, Hackuracy, Cauliflower, Humpty, and Team Ben Ruhe Has a Posse.
