Autumn

Summertime

Children's laughter resounding on the shores of Nantasket
The roaring of planes passing overhead
Kites gliding above
Seagulls soaring
Waves caressing the rocks
Undulating water lapping the shore
The warm water enveloping them
The sand beneath our feet
Salt on the skin
The essence of summer

Cold lemonade dripping down a glass cup
Blueberry pie sitting on a windowsill
Juicy hamburgers and plump hot dogs sizzling on the grill
Marshmallows roasting on a nearby campfire
Crunching freshly picked apples
Salty French fries
The buzzing of bees passing by me
Children running in large meadows

Laughter echoing through the trees
Forests full of deer

Raccoons hiding on branches
Chirping crickets in the bushes
The pungent aroma of skunks nearby
The stars dotting the sky
People hiking back to camp
The sun giving way to the moon.
