Hoyle Card Games

by Susan J. (12/97)

The computer game, Holye Card Games, has ten different card games in it. These games are: Solitaire, Gin, Old Maid, Poker, Backgammon, Hearts, Bridge, Cribbage, Checkers, and Crazy Eights.

In these games, you have an option of playing against animated people, who move around and make faces, or against an icon, which represents the animated person. Each of these pretend people has his or her own personality that you can read about by clicking on each one.

Each of the games has rules so you can learn how to play each one. They also have options for the varieties of games. You can chose to have serious, deeply amusing, or absurd competitors. Another feature of this game is the rooms. You can pick what room backround to have. There are several different rooms. Some of them are rainforest, suspense, and the wild west. All rooms have sounds to match them, but you can swap the rooms and sounds around. The design on the back of the deck of cards can also be changed.

Holye Card Games is good for all ages because it has games young children will enjoy, such as, Crazy Eights, and Old Maid. Older people will enjoy Poker, Bridge, Hearts, Cribbage, Gin, Backgammon, Checkers, and Solitaire.

This game is both fun and interesting. It is a good game for beginners and advanced players because it has certain levels of difficulty. I would recommend this computer game to anyone old or young.
