A game I find very enjoyable and entertaining is Bang Bang. This game has two players and the players are cannons. Each player has its own colored flag next to it; player one's is green, and player two's flag is red. Each player is located at the end of the computer screen, sometimes at the same elevation and other times not. The object of the game is to hit your opponent with a cannonball. This is possible only when it is your turn, and you are able to choose the angle and velocity. By increasing and decreasing these two factors, you can hit your opponent. You decide what the angle and velocity will be when you see if there are any hills or dips in the battle field. The game will not cease unless a player is hit or the game is quit. There are three settings. (Bang Bang always starts with a default setting of medium). The fine setting makes the target more difficult to hit and only counts a direct hit. The course setting causes a strike to be registered when the cannonball falls in the general area of the opponent, making it easier to win. The medium setting is somewhere in between.
During the game, a box is shown at the bottom of the screen letting the players see the speed of the wind. When enabled , a random wind velocity is selected, blowing in a randomly selected direction, for each battle. When disabled, there is no wind, and therefor it effects the flight of the cannon's shot.
Cannonballs that miss the target (but hit the ground near it) cause divots and every time this happens, they appear. Sometimes the divots gradually change the characteristics of the battle field. A simple click of the mouse can change the settings and cause the cannonballs to hit the ground, explode, and leave the ground unharmed.
If this sounds interesting to you, I would highly recommend it. Even though it is in a package of three hundred games, so far it is the best one of them all. If given the chance to pick the favorite of my games, this would be my first choice.
