Yummy Stuff

Subs For Life.

No amount of subs could satisfy my craving.
Submarine shaped bread,
slathered with oil and mayo,
layered with crisp lettuce,
sweet onions,
succulent tomatoes,
sour pickels.
I hold the sub with a death grip,
as if it's my last meal,
saving every bite.
The sub is ecstatic,
that out of all the subs in the world,
I chose it.
The intoxicating aroma of onions and peppers
calls me to feast.
Subs are fullfilling,
The food pyramid on a roll.

Watermellon Valley

Living in a Watermelon Valley would be grand
I could eat them all day long
Thin core,black seeds,triangular fruit
Very fresh and ripe.
Biting down into the crispy juicy watermelon
I chew,gulp,and fully enjoy.
They count the moments until I clamp down
So happy to see joy upon my face
The juices and fantastic taste are exploding.
I can't get away from the plate.
Beware . . . don't consume too fast or...
You might just swallow a seed.
Oops!

The Land of Starbursts

I could subsist forever in a land of Starbursts,
petite, fruity, succulent, delicious , and chewy.
Chew and absorb the fruity juice,
Patiently waiting for the moment I snatch the next one
from the pack,
The juiciness and fruitiness seize my taste buds and
propel me to more,
But beware,
Starbursts are tasty and extremely addictive.

Apple Pie

Apple Pie
I live in a land
Of apple pie
Big,quarter slices
Of sweet, cinnamon apple

The cold spoon digs,
deep into the flaky warm crust
Into the succulent flavor,
of enriched sweetness

As it comes from the oven
It cries with sweet aroma
Calls you to the table
as if it were your master

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

I live in a land of unmade flapjacks
where chocolate chips and pancake batter is common
and fruits and veggies are not.
The chocolate chips
like small volcanoes wait to erupt
with chocolate lava.
A vast dessert abandoned by the sun
A slice of the knife
A stab of the fork
A chomp of the mouth
nervously awaiting hot maple syrup
the thick sweet smell
grabs me from my chair
Mouthwatering

Pad Thai

In Thailand,
I would live off Pad Thai.
Chicken tucked in flat egg noodles,
drenched in peanut sauce,
soft and slimy.
With a swoop of my fork,
like a hawk on a mouse,
a melting taste soon in my mouth.
Basking in elegance,
not knowing if its going to be eaten now,
or taken home for later.
Grabs my fork,
slamming to the plate.
Making you gasp for more.

Candy

I live in the land
of candy of all sorts.
A place of gummies, chocolate,
and lollipops.
Living in a land of candy
wherever you turn there's
sweet sugar.
Grabbing handfuls and
thrusting two at a time
into my hungry mouth.
Lips changing color to
match each piece.
Wrapped in plastic or placed in a bag,
it calls for me.
It's gone too fast.
Tummy aches and sick children,
all worth it in the end.

Brownies

I live in the land of brownies.
In a world full of milk and flour.
One could survive a thousand years on just brownies.
Fat, fudge brownies-
hold the nuts.
Smells so good one just isn't enough.
Take a big bite
washed down quickly with a tall glass of milk,
another one waits to be devoured.
The sweet smell of chocolate lingers in the air
capturing the taste buds.
Dangerously yummy,
full of fat.
One bite and its victim is hooked.
