Tribute for 9/11

After the dust and debris,
After the news arrived,
After the lives were lost,
Even after all that, America felt pain.
The site, a once great place
Now a site of sorrow and lost dreams
America still grieves.
Though the months have passed
The site of ground zero still send chills up our spines,
When will the pain diminish
I wonder.
I see young and old, all the same.
Embracing each other through this pain.
One good thing came out of this;
America has regained what it stands for.
"Unity, United in one great land of hope and opportunity."
