Summer Waves

The waves are washing in,
Seagulls soaring in the sky.
The taste of melting ice cream,
A bird flying high.

Kids running joyfully here and there,
The smell of a roses scent in the air.
Aromas of popcorn they sell in the street,
Feeling the sand beneath your feet.

Crickets chirping in the night,
Sandpipers above you takng flight.
People picnicing in the park,
Roasting marshmallows in the dark.

The taste of hot dogs on your lips,
A child drinking lemonade taking careful sips.
Sailboats gliding in the bay,
The waves are washing summer away.
