Our friendship had begun in the sixth grade. I can remember the fun times we had in the past. We would always have a fun time with each other. He was a character with a great sense of humor. He would always make me laugh, and he would tell great jokes. This person was the greatest friend you could ever have.
Yet, within the next school year, we hardly spoke. There would be one quick hello while passing in the hall. I didn't want to admit it, but we were growing apart. We both were making new friends.
Now as I write this essay, I think I will greet him next time I see him. Who knows, maybe it will turn into a beautiful friendship. Make new friends, but keep the old ones; one is silver, the other is gold.
