September 11th

Cowardly acts,
Sorrow spreading through the country.
Madness in a moment.
People uttering words of peace,
Others words of hatred.
You don't know what you should be feeling
Blankness comes to mind.
Destruction,
Flags,
Because of one group's evil deeds,
The loss of so many innocent people.
Wishing you could do something,
Then realizing you are only thirteen.
Being scared to go out with your friends,
Going to vigils,
Showing we are strong,
Being there for each other,
Being kinder to everyone.
Showing your sympathy for the torture our country is going through.
But then coming to the conclusion that this has only made us stronger.
Keeping those who lost their lives in our hearts forever.
