North Conway
The white snow
Stars sparkling in the midnight sky like diamonds
An owl hoots
Bare naked trees standing tall and bending in the frigid wind
The snowshoe slices through the deep snow
Voices calling in the distance
The frozen pond reflects the moon
Flames shoot high in the air
The sound of laughter breaks the silence
Gooey marshmallows dangling off a long stick over the campfire
A gust of wind howls like a banshee
The smell of hot chocolate drifts through the crisp air
My snowshoes strapped on,
Turning away from the scorching fire
Toward the warmth of my cozy home
