I am not a famous artist
so I'm nothing to applaud,
I am not expert at writing
but my words are never fraud.
I am not someone with talents
or with special gifts to show,
but I know that I've done something good
and it's something I should know.
I've been there for my friends in need
I've been loyal, I've been true.
I've faced a lot of hardships
and with help I've gotten through.
I've spoke out against injustice
and I've given it my all,
I've accomplished a great many things
though these victories seem small.
I AM an artist in my own way
I've created friendships that will never part,
I AM expert at writing
I write words from my heart.
I AM someone with talents,
I do my own thing my own way.
So now I know just who I am
and who I am's okay.
