The Holocaust

Pushed and shoved into an endless line,
There we stand without an identity.
Our existence lost a long time ago.

Once we were happy and loved.
Now everything has changed,
Our hope is slowly fading.

Standing there without a purpose,
There we are without a soul.

We get colder as lives are lost,
The person we once were is now a stranger,
Looking around seeing lifeless skeletons,
Our faith is all that is left.

We were ripped from our loved one's grasp,
And put into camps that would soon be our graves,
We can only sit in the silence and wait for the day,
The blessed day we leave this place forever.
