Halloween Night

Bright full moon
Mysterious figures lurking in the shadows
Branches swaying in an eerie breeze
A girl in a pumpkin suit trips and spills her candy
Little creatures running to their houses for a night time treat

Yells of laughter enchant the streets,
A crack of an egg and scampering of kids
DIng-dongs fill the air,
"Trick or Treat" chimes goblins ghouls and ghosts
The plop-plop sound of footstep beating on the pavement

The smell of pumkin pie from a nearby kitchen,
Crisp Autumn air envelops me,
Cool wind brushes past my costume as I scramble down the street,
My plastic mask itches my face as it roughly chafes my skin,

For one and only night,
Kids rule the world

Halloween

Trick-or-Treating under a black sky
Witches flying high over an eerie moon
Frightful costumes making children cry
On the floor candy strewn

Chocolate, carmel, and gooey marshmallow
Stuck all over your hands
All in a candy filled pillow
Favorite candies Milky Way, Snickers and 100Grands

Doorbells ringing
Trick-or-Treat
Candy wrappers crinkling
Pumpkins being beat

Egging houses
It's a time for pranks
Ripping down trousers
Children never saying thanks

Halloween night full of fright
Where all the costumes are quite the sight
Candy stuffed childrenšs faces turning green
We hope you have a safe and happy Halloween

The Night of Sweets

Darkened streets
Flickering Jack-O-Lanterns
Goblins, ghosts, witches, pirates
Running wild in hopes for sweets
Yelling "BOO " and "Trick or Treat"
While skipping along the leaf strewn sidewalks
Up the steps to the front door
Out comes Frankenstein with candy galore
Back down the steps to the candy covered road
Looking up only to see a golden colored moon
Frolicking off down the long winding block
Coming across a grinning scarecrow stuffed with hay
The smell of candy sugars in the foggy air
only makes you want to get another bag and ask for more
Sticking your hand in the deep white bag
wrappers seeping through your fingers
Skipping back home down the long winding block
"Do we really have to wait another full year?"

HALLOWEEN

The black fall night
Cool,
Crisp,
Still,
Trick-or-treaters at my doorstep.
Their excited laughter
Costumes of witches, goblins, and ghosts
Owls hooting in the tall pine
The scent of pumpkins permeating the air
The screeches of young children
Clippity clopping of footsteps running

The aroma of sweet candy
Bats zipping through the cool air
Glowing faces of jack-o-lanterns
Spooky music playing all around me
The eerie glow of the moon
Coyotes howling in the distance
Pieces of pumpkins cluttering the streets
The silhouette of witches on brooms in the moonlight
