Swimming with the Dolphins and Other Poems of Nature

Swimming with the Dolphins

by Sara T.

Flying over the air
and water
as if we were one

My laughter turning to bubbles,
As we dance
In beams of light

With no bounderies,
No rules,
We have the freedom of the currents

Then, a separation begins and
I realize my more frequent
Need of breath

The tranquility,
The joyous freedom
Breaks and falls
like shattered glass

As I wave
goodbye
To the silver streaks
Of living moonlight.

The Ocean

by Chris C.

The ocean moves
on swift wings
as a bird
flying
against the strong wind
on a stormy day
racing for freedom.

The Sun

by Erin G.

The sun
peeks from behind the trees
as though shy and unwilling to come out.
Slowly it gathers courage
as the rays grow brighter
then bursts through in splendid glory.

Night Sky

by John F.

The night sky sparkles dimly,
like a porous lampshade,
watching over the earth below.
A warm summer evening,
the blistering summer sun dies down
to a serene, welcoming moon,
It feels content protecting its earth.
by John F.

Blades of Grass

by Emily M.

The blades of grass
whisper the day's gossip
in the afternoon
breeze.
The hushed conversation
lulls the world to sleep,
like a mother's
familiar
cradlesong.
