This illustration was almost totally done in Lightwave.
All of the elements were modeled in 3D and went through many review cycles with the client.
Details and extra shadows were finished in Photoshop, along with combining the two images.
The client wanted a piece that would stand out and be selected for the cover
of the magazine that his article was submitted to.
The magazine was so impressed with the artwork that they used it
for the cover, and told the client that "it was their best cover so far."
There is a small inset of the final published cover.
