A Coordinated Counseling Method
Classes are designed to help people with their personal growth. JMAC Counseling Center will have classes
for a variety of education and training. Call and put your name on the list if you are interested in any classes. Many people
need individual counseling to help them if they are "stuck" in some way. Therapy groups may augment counseling. In addition
to regularly scheduled therapy groups, some specialized therapy groups are scheduled to help people change. Classes, seminars
and groups are planned to include: Anger Management, Adult Survivor of Childhood Abuse, Domestic Violence Prevention, Chemical
Dependency/Substance Abuse Recovery, Marriage Enrichment Groups, Parenting, Self-esteem, Helping Children Fit In, Obsessive-Compulsive/Addictive
Behavior, and Faith Fundamentals for couples with different beliefs.
Classes, seminars and groups at JMAC Counseling Center have counseling professionals to facilitate the process.
We also encourage people to use appropriate support groups, which are usually run by peers who have similar issues that bring
them together. They may meet in churches, homes or meeting rooms in the area. Some groups screen new members if the issue
is particularly troublesome or sensitive.

In his article, 100 Years of C. S. Lewis, in the November/December 1998 issue of New Man magazine (p. 42),
Dr. Terry Lindvall says of C. S. Lewis:
A Man's Man
Beyond our relationship with God, the most important aspect of our lives is our love for our neighbor. For
Lewis, there were no ordinary people. We marry, snub, laugh, play, argue and work with immortal creatures, beings that God
has created to live forever. Lewis humorously observed that God offers us a wide and even strange variety of human beings
for us to experience, and affection for them teaches us to love as Christ loved.
