| Reeo was an "ugly duckling" puppy who turned into a swan. While his brother and sister were at matches winning Best Puppy awards, Reeo stayed at home to grow up. The Lehigh specialty was his first time in the show ring. Reeo loved showing with his good buddy, Henry, (although he sometimes got a little too exuberant looking for bait!) Reeo inherited great temperament from his beautiful mom, Ch. Anisette. He loved life and never met anyone - man or other dog - that he did not like. Reeo was a great ambassador for the breed. He was a large dog but was extremely gentle and changed many minds about the misconceptions of the German Shepherd's temperament. Although used at limited stud, Reeo did produce a number of show puppies that went on to win Best Puppies and place in their Futurity. However, his greatest asset was his ability to always pass on his fantastic temperament. Reeo took a long time to mature. In our waiting-for-him-to-grow-up phase, he learned to do obedience. Once he finished his breed championship, Reeo received his Dual Title Award as he quickly earned his American and Canadian CD's (each finished in three shows with all scores in the 190's). Who says a show dog can not learn to do obedience!! |
