THE CLINKENBEARD FAMILY
OF BEDFORD, IOWA
AND HELENA MONTANA
Sometime
around 1899 or so the little William Clinkenbeard family set off for Montana
from Bedford Iowa in the Palace Photo Car below. We aren't sure how long
this took, but we do know the family was there in 1900. Marie Clinkenbeard
below and Harland Thomas M. (Tom) Herrin are the great grand-parents
of my grandsons, Tom & Dan Herrin whose parents are Paul
Sanford Herrin and Cindy R. Fultz, my daughter.
William Clinkenbeard worked
from town to town, ranch to ranch and mining camp to mining camp in Montana,
North Dakota and areas around taking photos and making postcards for customers
to send back "home".
William Clinkenbeard and his wife Lillian are the great great grandparents of my grandsons, Tom and Dan Herrin ages 11 & 12 yrs.
