I haven't updated or answered hardly any of my e-mail, because I'm in the middle of finals. I'm hoping to be done by tomorrow, though. I have to be done Thursday, because that's when they're due. And then after that I'll still be working in the lab, but I'll be done with classes until January!

So, this weekend, I'm going to a Northern California Diarists' gathering. This is exciting for many reasons. For one thing, I'll finally get to meet some of the diarists I've been reading for a long time but never met like Beth and Jane. But the most exciting part of it is that if everybody who's supposed to shows up, I may be catapulted past even Kymm in the number of diarists I have met! Just yesterday, she boasted of having met an "almost unbeatable" 37 diarists. But I've met 20 so far (Alan, Amy, Andrew, Brad, DLJ, Gershom, Gus, Helen, Jay, Jon, Kymm, Lance, Lucy, Lunesse, Michael, Nelson, Nigel, Sara, Sei, and Tracing) and another 20 or more are probably going to be at this shindig.

Even though I haven't written in more than a week, I don't have much to say. I've been spending all day every day working on my exams while I listen to the new Beck and Chemical Brothers albums and eat Teddy Grahams and drink Diet Coke and Fresca. Occasionally, I emerge from my apartment to go to the library to copy papers to use as references for my exams. Actually, I've done that quite a lot. I used up an entire $15 copy card last week, which means that I've copied more than 200 pages. My floor is covered with paper and my hands are covered with paper cuts.

Oh, and last but not least, today is the 12th anniversary of the worst day of my life. Happy Pearl Harbor Day...
