Lots of excitement around here this week. First, Sasha and Isabelle came to visit, all the way from their respective foreign countries. Sasha stayed with me and slept on the horribly uncomfortable inflatable bed that inevitably deflates halfway through the night with nary a complaint. We had originally planned to go out for dinner and drinking and strippers on Saturday night, but then we discovered that most of us didn't really care to see the strippers anyway, so we stuck to the eating and drinking.
The next day, my sister Alison showed up and we all went to the Pirate Store. I almost bought some extremely large socks that were longer than my legs, but ultimately opted not to.
Sasha left on Sunday, and my sister is still here, but she has mostly been working. But, we've also been going running together and I've been making her watch my "Buffy" season 4 DVDs. Also, on Tuesday night, I talked her into going to see "The Italian Job" with me, but we got there early, so we watched "2 Fast, 2 Furious," instead. I really only wanted to see the movie just for Ludacris, but I ended up liking the car chases, too, even though I'm not really into that kind of thing. It was fun in that mindless summer movie kind of way.

Random Alison Movie Quotes:
"I went to go see 'The Real Cancun' in the theater. There was only one other person there, and she walked out halfway through."
"Is 'Rugrats Go Wild' supposed to be like 'Girls Gone Wild?' I mean, I know it's not the same thing, but do you think they were trying to refer to that?"
"I bet they're going to make a '3 Fast, 3 Furious,' too. But they'll probably call it something else."

Yesterday, at work there were 3 code greens! A "code green" is what happens when a patient is out of control and needs to be restrained. They make a little announcement over the building's P.A. system, saying "code green" and then the location. Anyway, usually there is one of these every couple of weeks or so, but yesterday, there were three, and two were in public areas of the building! Spring fever or something.
I also decided this week that there are officially too many boys in my lab now.

Tomorrow, my sister leaves, and then on Friday, I leave, too, for a family reunion in North Carolina. I'm taking a vacation from the internet, too. I'm sure I could bring my laptop and get online, but I think it'll be good for me to really be away for a few days.
