Central Park Photos

On Saturday, April 13, we tried to go to the American Museum of Natural History. Sadly, the place was literally swarming with Girl Scouts. Rather than fight the crowds for Girl Scout Day, we put off our visit until te next day. Since the Museum is directly across the street from Central Park, Deb and I decided we'd wander in there are have a look-see.

As always, just click on an image to see a larger version.

The park is just chock full of nice views. I had to get Deb to pose for the first one we found.

We saw lots of cool statues in the park, including this one for "Alice in Wonderland"

Wildlife in Central Park. And this wasn't even in the Turtle Pond!

Another lovely view. Mind you, this was on a day when the Weather Service predicted miserable rain all day.

Here's a view of a nice little plaza. I failed to note the name.

Here's a statue of an old favorite: Hans Christian Anderson.

Here's the Egyptian Needle that stands behind the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Sadly, we didn't make it inside on this trip.

Here I am in Strawberry Fields. A nice little enclave in the Park across the street from The Dakotas, where John Lennon was murdered.
