ISS Screen Saver Information: (made available by Boeing) The ISS screen saver is available for free download. The slideshow sequence builds up the station, beginning with Flight 1A/R and ending with its completion. The slides were built at 640X480 to support users with 14" or 15" monitors. This screen saver will run on Windows 98/95/NT and Macintosh operating systems. DO NOT install this product if you are running Windows 3.1/3.11 In order for this screen saver to operate properly, you must have 4MB of available memory for the screen saver. 2MB of hard disk space for the files, and be able to display 256 colors on your monitor (16 bit reccomended). Do not try to run this product on computers with less then 8 MB of memory. This product is intended for promotional use, and is given to you at NO CHARGE and in "AS IS" condition. If for any reason you are having diffuculty using this product after installation please follow the directions for uninstalling the screen saver. This product is not intended to run over networks. Other screen saver programs such as Afterdark® may interfere with the operation of the ISS screen saver. The PC version has a "password" option that can be enabled through the windows screen saver control panel. Macintosh Version - ISS_INSTALL.sit (2.3 Mb). After downloading a ".sit" file on a Macintosh, use StuffIt Expander® by Aladdin Systems, Inc., http://www.aladdinsys.com/, to access the file's contents. StuffIt Expander is available as a freeware product. After unstuffing the, users should drag the contents of the folder entitled "drag contents to EXTENSIONS" to their extensions folder (inside the System Folder). Drag the contents of the folder entitled "drag contents to Control Panels" to their control panels folder (also inside the System Folder).... Windows 95/NT Version - ISS Screen Saver.scr (1.3Mb) To install, save the .SCR module into the appropriate folder on your local hard disk (drive C:): * Windows 95 users need to open my computer, select drive C: and open it, open the windows folder, and finally open the system folder. Click and drag the attachment into the system folder. This may take a few seconds as this is a 1.7Mb file. You will see other ".scr" files in there. This is what gives you the option to select screen savers. * Windows NT users need to open my computer, select drive C: and open it, open the winnt folder, and finally open the system32 folder. To select and adjust the screen saver properties, Select the Start button, Select Settings, Select control panel navigate to the "Display" control panel, click on the "Screen Saver" tab and click the "settings" button. (If you're not running this module at 640x480, you should set the image size to "Medium" - otherwise the images might appear rather grainy. {Screen transitions are also defined on this tab.}) We recommend a 5 second delay between windows. We also recommend a 5 minute delay before the saver starts.
