One Thing I Forgot to Mention Monday

WICR 88.7FM is playing the new Autumn House CD on their "New at Noon" show which airs, oddly enough, at 12:00 pm Thursday 2/15/07. I'll be doing a phone interview while trying to uncover my van from 3 feet of snow and ice. If you hear wheezing then dead air at any point, call 911.

Website gets a facelift

The Club Bordeaux website is gone and has been given a new face, The Autumn House. But, the address is still the same: www.jeffdeherdt.com. I've added a special Lyrics+ section that includes the all the lyrics and credits to The Autumn House, Club Bordeaux and the Jeff DeHerdt Group EP. I will eventually use this section for lyrics to songs that we play live, but have yet to record. The website will be updated pretty often in 2007, I plan to add a audio and a video section of interviews and live performances, as well as a photo gallery of the band during recording and during performances.

Very Late Notice

WZPL 99.5FM played the cut "Smitten" from The Autumn House a couple of times this past weekend. They gave no notice to me that they were going to play it. But, those of you who heard it and wondered why it sounded like me, that's because it was.

CD Release Thank-yous

Since this newsletter is bi-weekly, I haven't yet thanked all the fans(O.K., the faithful few) who braved below 0 degree windchill and ignored Superbowl Parties to come and see the CD release party. But, the Jazz Kitchen and I are working on a future date for the full band again(probably after March) and there are plenty of other places I'll be playing before then. Oh, and for the record, the bass player was Jack Helsley and Harry Goodloe was manning the drums. I forgot to introduce them during the entire release party.

WICR 88.7FM at 8:00-9:00pm this Saturday 11/20/07I was interviewed for the show this Saturday "Have You Heard" on 88.7FM at 8:00pm. We talk about the new CD, the Autumn House, and the upcoming CD release party at the Jazz Kitchen(see my website www.jeffdeherdt.com). I would have mentioned it earlier, but this appearance was moved up because of a possible pre-empting next weekend. To find out more about the show go to www.haveyouheardjazz.com.

Track of the Day 01/16/07 at Garageband.com

"I'm All the Friends That I Got" from Club Bordeaux was selected as Track of Day for 1/16/07 by reviewers at Garageband.com. Also, reviewers voted the track Best Male Jazz Vocal, Third for Best Jazz Lyrics, Third for Best Jazz Song. Stop by the site(www.garageband.com) to see what its all about. There's lots of music there for everybody. Most of it is not heard on the radio(terrestrial and satellite).

www.thomasdolby.com - The "Blinded Me with Science" artist returns to the stage after making a living inventing ringtone engines for cell phones. His almost-one-man stage show is really intriguing.
