As I was at an intersection
Waiting for the light to change
I saw something peculiar
Indeed, it was very strange
There were these people
Just standing next to the street
On the sidewalk!
Walking with their feet
And I thought, 'How can this be good?
How can this be fair?
These people without wheels or
Conditioned air?'
And I learned what they were called...

They have to walk
Everywhere
Please remember the pedestrians

The more I thought about it
The more I didn't understand
They just ... walked
Their feet touched the land!
Why don't they have cars?
Why don't they have planes?
Why don't they have buses
Or bicycles or trains?
They had no form of transportation!
It was vehicle segregation!
