The Empire, at it's height, had a mighty fleet of at least
25,000 Star Destroyers. A complete listing of every one of these majestic vessels
is impossible. This is an attempt to catalogue the history and exploits of the
most famous Imperator-class Star
Destroyers in history. Star Destroyers of other classes, such as the Victory-class,
the Republic-class, the Defender-class, or the Executer-class
are not listed.
Color on the name of the Star Destroyer indicates its allegiance and ownership.
Imperial starships are highlighted in green.
Rebel or New Republic star destroyers (usually
captured) are highlighted in red.
Destroyed ships are underlined.
The dating system is the same as in The Essential Chronology,
which seems to be the system used by the New Republic. Dates are listed
either as B.B.Y., or A.B.Y. B.B.Y means Before Battle of Yavin, and
A.B.Y. means After Battle of Yavin. So B.B.Y. 10 would be 10 years
before the Battle of Yavin, and A.B.Y. 5 would be 5 years after the
Battle of Yavin.
- Accuser
ISD Mark I. Was modified to be a patrol ship optimized for crisis response
time. Its veteran crew was experienced at monitering shipping lanes and Imperial
port traffic.[CCG] Part of Death Squadron. Participated in the Battle of Hoth

Eviscerator. The Eviscerator
followed the two Star Destroyers to Ord Mirit, allowing Rogue Squadron to
assualt Borleias.[XWRS] Shortly before the Battle of Calamari, was used to
particpated in an assault on Ciutric. [XWIR] 8.5 A.B.Y., was severely damaged
after a battle with fleets of the Empire and Warlord Teradoc.[EC] Was brought
to the secret Hast shipyards to be refitted. After the shipyard was found
by a spy, an Imperial attack devastated the shipyards such that many ships
required repair and the Accuser required years for the Rebel Alliance
to refit at the shipyards. The ship was upgraded with boosted sensors and
weapons.[DESB] After the New Republic lost control of Coruscant, it was used
by the Rebel Alliance in 10 A.B.Y. after the Battle of Endor, to conduct hit-and-run
sorties to sow confusion among several conflicting Imperial factions. During
the Battle of Calamari, was commanded by General Calrissian and General Wedge
Antilles. The Emancipator intercepted a transmission from hyperspace,
and changed their coordinates to exit hyperspace at the same location as the
source of the transmission, catching the Super Star Destroyer Allegiance
and several escorting ships by suprise. The Allegiance was destroyed.
The Emancipator then launched X-Wings and V-Wing transports to attack
the World Devastators. The Emancipator was destroyed in battle with
the World Devastator Silencer-7.[DE]

sorties to sow confusion among several conflicting Imperial factions. Was
commanded by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and General Lando Calrissian on a
raid on Coruscant, when the ship was damaged and crashed onto the planet's
surface. Skywalker was able to prevent the death of the crew through skillful
use of the ship's repulsorlifts and shields.[DE]
[Note:According to the GSWU2, the ship
captured by the Rebels and renamed Liberator
was Adjucator. According to
BtM and DESB, it was Adjudicator.
Since BtM ranks higher on canon, the data from BtM shall be used and the
Adjudicator is name of the ship captured by the Rebels. It is unknown
whether the Adjudicator and
Adjucator were one ship or
two seperate ships.]

Cartann and the other nations. Intelligence Officer Tomer Darpen betrayed
General Antilles, sided with Cartann, ordered the Allegiance to maintain
a communications blackout, and pleaded with the leader of Cartaan, perator
Pekaelic ke Teldan, that General Antilles be killed. General Antilles then
sided with the smaller nations against Cartann, while Iella Wessiri attempted

joined the Deep Core warlords. 10 A.B.Y., Pallaeon, now Admiral and Supreme
Commander of the Imperial Remnant, regained his ship at the Battle of Gravlex
Med, and chose the Chimaera as his flagship.[EC] The ship was modified
with a cloaking shield, proton torpedo launchers, and a targeting program
called the Predictor. 19 A.B.Y., Admiral Pellaeon, wishing to discuss peace
between the Empire and the New Republic, sent Colonel Meizh Vermal to deliver
a message to General Garm Bel Iblis, and awaited his reply at Pesitiin. Unknown
to Pellaeon, Moff Disra and Major Tierce intercepted Vermal, and ordered Captain
Zothip's pirate operation to attack Pellaeon and mark their ships with Corellian
markings to convince Admiral Pallaeon that General Bel Iblis had attacked
him. Admiral Pallaeon defeated the pirate force, using a variation of the

Ishori or the Diamala over the Caamaas issue.[SotP] Conflict did indeed break

A Yuuzhan Vong creature on the planet was used to coordinate their ships,
and emit gravity fields that disrupted weapons and shields. Although the shields
were too powerful to be ripped away by the gravity fields, the Rejuvenator
was still destroyed by a swarm of Yuuzhan Vong ships and missles from the
planet.[VP]

The intended target of the courior was General Garm Bel Iblis, requesting
negotiations for a peace treaty between the Empire and the New Republic. The
Relentless exited hyperspace and used full spectrum jamming to prevent
the Colonel Vermal's corvette from sending any transmissions. The Relentless
disabled and captured the corvette. Several New Rebublic starfighters were
able to dilute the jamming enough to recieve a partial transmission from the
corvette before it was captured. As soon as the corvette was captured, the
Relentless entered hyperspace. Became the flagship of Moff Disra's
triumverate. Later, intercepted former New Republic general Lando Calrissian's
ship, the Lady Luck with an Interdicter-class cruiser, where

Faced with multiple tractor beam generators and warheads, Captain Varrscha
surrendered to Booster Terrik. Terrik brought the ship to Thyferra to aid
in the attack against the Lusankya, until it surrendered. After the
