Before incorporating JECD, Eliot worked many years with Landmark Entertainment Group as chief concept designer and executive art director. He designed attractions, major theme parks and mixed-use developments. His responsibilities ranged from site planning, architectural design, show design and scripting to leading design teams, production and on-site art direction, interior and furniture design.

Eliot started in theme parks at Walt Disney Imagineering. In television Eliot was production designer on Faerie Tale Theatre, a groundbreaking cable series and director of visual effects on Captain Power, the world's first interactive TV series.Eliot has a BA in Theartre Arts from Pomona College, and also attended Oxford University, New York University and Harvard .
