Reuben Haley

Reuben Haley, son of Jonathan Haley, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
February 5, 1872. He made a major contribution to American glass design
from the late 1800s to 1933.
He convinced Consolidated Glass Company to enter the art glass business
and in 1925 he designed their line of Martele glassware that was introduced
to the trade in January 1926 at the Fort Pitt Hotel trade show.
His crowning achievement was the Ruba Rombic line
of glassware introduced by Consolidated in 1928.
