Yosemite National Park II

An interesting time to be in Yosemite. No waterfalls, too early for fall color. Nevertheless, the surroundings are beautiful, and the autumnal equinox creates wonderful lighting in the valley at sunset.

The giant sequoias are magnificent, and the day I visited the Mariposa Grove, the rangers were managing a controlled burn to rid part of the underbrush that had been built up. That scenario created some interesting shots with the smoke, fire and sunlight.

The final two pix are in the high country and along the Tioga Pass Road, also closed in winter.
