California State Club of WIT Rally

Grape Festival Fairgrounds

Lodi

September 30- October 4, 2009

The slogan for the year:

'Friendship is Fellowship"

The theme for the Rally:

"Whatever makes you happy"

We had 82 Rigs with 158 WIT members at the Grape Festival Grounds in Lodi for the 2009 California State Club Rally. We also met here in August 2008. The weather was good as usual. The fairgrounds were well kept and the spacious club house was more than adequate for our needs

For our "safety" we had a Guard Dog. This is Taffy, our guard dog for the entire Rally. As no problems were reported our thanks go to Taffy for a very good job!

Parking was a "One Man Job" as the parking was rather informal. It was not that easy and our thanks for the good work.

Joe, our Treasurer, was one of the busiest at the Rally. He made sure that everyone was paid up and had the help that they needed. And we all thank him for his work and for staying with us for another year.

During the afternoon Sue, our 2nd VP, hosted a hospitality table with cookies and lemonade at her Rig.

One of the highlights of the Rally was a table decorating contest. The tops three tables were announced Saturday evening. During the afternoon pictures were take of some of the tables being decorated.

At 5 PM our Prez, Connie opened the Rally with a brief opening ceremony. We then all enjoyed a huge Pot Luck. Enough food to feed an army. This recalled the old pot luck saying. "There is nothing more humiliating than to take food home from a pot luck."

The evening of our first day ended with table games and the cribbage tournament.
