This is the Lanier Stinger 10. Built with a purpose for a customer who needs a smaller, durable plane that will handle tougher or even no runway conditions. Inspired by some Alaska bush planes, oversize landing gear is just one of many modifications. Built because the customer has the larger Stinger and is happy with its flight we wanted to "turn it up a notch' with this one. Starting with a OS Max 15 LA Blue we put in as much HP as we could and still get inside the cowl. Then adding larger ailerons (20%) we increased the already snappy roll rate to just short of INSANE! Adding a 5th servo allowed us to put a servo on each aileron, making them stronger, faster and adding Flaperon capability to really give this STOL performance. The spring supported tailwheel allows ground control over the toughest of runway's. Even with all the additions the flying weight is under 2.5 lbs (2 lbs. 4 oz. to be exact). The airfoil was sharpened slightly to increase top speed agility while not sacrificing slow speed handling. Drop them flaps and land it in under 20 ft.! This ship is capable of endless inside and outside loops and will fly inverted forever.
A super tough plane with excellent flight potential
