The Tamiya Super Champ

Here is my old Super Champ, what a blast this thing was. This pic was taken in 1979 when were camping in the mountains. We cruised these cars around and people were amazed. They hadn't seen many of these around before. Times sure have changed. The main difference between the Rough Rider and Sand Scorcher from the Super Champ was the single shock rear suspension with oil reservoir bottle on the back, the lack of the radio box, and the fiberglass chassis. Very advanced for its day!

Factory body.

This car had every possible hop-up. Take a look at those machined rims!

This tank is old school for sure. Remember your first Tamiya car? I couldn't believe how fast they seemed back then.
