GCC Tour: More Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet: Books: Lola Douglas
More Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet by Lola Douglas will hit shelves soon, and you don't want to miss it, especially if you enjoyed the first in the series, True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet.

Just when Morgan Carter was falling in love with the simple life she'd built in Fort Wayne, Indiana, her true identity as an infamous Hollywood starlet was exposed. Now Morgan has a choice to make: return to her glamorous movie star existence--or stick with the wholesome life, and the new love, she's found in the Midwest.
In this sequel to True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet, Lola Douglas's heartfelt prose and headstrong heroine return to delight readers.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
Kirkus Reviews
The continuing travails of 17-year-old Morgan … come across with delightful zing, yet address serious subjects. … Douglas manages the lightest of styles while delving into deep issues for adolescents. Fun, breezy entertainment with thoughtful undertones.

More gossipy stuff for all those YA readers who love to think about celebrities and dream about their lives. ... This sequel [is] appealing.

LOLA ANSWERS MY GCC QUESTIONS:
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TYPICAL “WRITING DAY”?
Non-existent. J I’m not one of those super-disciplined people who sits down at the same time and has a ritual that accompanies her writing. The only “ritual” I have is to make sure I’m properly caffeinated.
DO YOU RECALL THE KERNEL OF INSPIRATION FOR THIS BOOK?
I was driving home late late late one night, thinking about how I wanted to try my hand at a diary format novel. Then I thought, “Who’s diary would I want to read?” Drew Barrymore immediately came to mind.
PICK A CHARACTER IN THE BOOK AND TELL US WHAT TRAIT YOU SHARE (OR COME CLOSEST TO SHARING) WITH THAT CHARACTER.
There’s a little bit of me in Morgan – my obsession with Marc Jacobs, my reflexive cynicism, my attraction to slightly nerdly boys. Also, like Morgan, my first impressions of Fort Wayne, Indiana were … um … not entirely favorable. This is largely because I’m an East Coast brat. I need to see water from time to time. I need to be able to hit seven towns after driving twenty minutes. I need to be within an hour of a major city.
IF YOU WERE STUCK ON A DESERT ISLAND, WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE A MAGICAL TRUNK THAT GAVE YOU LIMITLESS BOOKS TO READ, OR A LIMITLESS SUPPLY OF PAPER ON WHICH TO WRITE?
Books, duh. Because you could always use the ones you’ve read as scratch paper. Just, you know, bleach them out in the sun and stuff.
BEER OR WINE?
I do love my Vouvray, but every once in a while, on a hot day, when eating something like chili, a good lager is mighty tasty.
CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA?
Chocolate. Preferably of the British variety.
WHAT’S YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE BOOK?
Bridget Jones’ Diary. Probably where my obsession with diary-format books began.

Comments:
Hi! I love your novel, Carpe Demon. It's great however there's one glaring error in it: Larnaca is a city in Cyprus and not Greece. The southern part of Cyprus (where Larnaca is) is an independent nation that is also an EU state.
