Of reading and writing and 'rithmatic ...

Or, at least, reading anyway. I'm currently reading (actually, listening on audiobook) to Gods in Alabama ... and let me tell you, folks, this book is awesome. A wonderfully engaging heroine, an easy yet sophisticated writing style. I'm thoroughly enjoying this book (I bought the audiobook on a whim, and I'm so glad I did!). The reader does a wonderful job with the heroine's first person narrative, but I have to admit, I'm probably going to buy the paper book as well. (Whoo hoo! The author will get a royalty twice from me !!) simply because I think the prose is so lovely that I'm sure I'm going to want to read it again.

As for the writing and 'rithmatic, that's why this blog is soooooooooooooooooo short. Today is "catch up on everything ever in my life" day. I've been answering some of the 300+ unanswered emails (slowly, as people keep emailing me and filling the gap!!!), and I have to pay bills. Ugh. So off I go to do some more mundane boring stuff.

But before I go ... C finished her Frog One preschool swim class today! Got a certificate and everything. Considering that on day one she was doing basically nothing and today she was willingly going underwater, I'm considering the class a huge success!
