Hi
I saw reference to the web ring on Nina B's blog page. I asked her if she know if C.J. Barry was going to be in it but you've answered my question. You also answered another question I had before I asked it. ESP? Anyway, I enjoy your stories and look forward to reading more. Oh, I loved your contribution to the anthology,"A Mother's Way". That is some world you've created. Will you be writing more? Will the ferret ever get a buddy(girl) ferret? by-the-by, Gena Showalter's name showed up twice on the May 17th note...is there more than one?? Just curious ...
Anyway, thanks for reading this, have a wonderful rest of Wednesday and happy writing!!!

Alas, there is only one Gena. But I obviously don't proofread very well! I'm so glad you liked the AMW novella. It was fun. Heck, the whole series was fun. Nothing new planned for it right now ... but never say never! Oh, wait. You may not have read the entire series, because Elmer definitely has a girl friend. The stories, in order, are APHRODITE'S KISS, Seeking Single Superhero (FROM A MOTHER'S WAY), APHRODITE'S PASSION, APHRODITE'S SECRET, and APHRODITE'S FLAME. My first Love Spell, THE CAT'S FANCY, introduced two characters who are in all of the books (but not the novella). If you check them out, be sure to let me know what you think. And although you don't *have* to read them in order, I think it would be more fun if you did b/c there's an overarching story thread that runs through the entire series.

Off to write some more!

Whoops, I guess I had a brain leak. I've read all the books, but didn't remember Elmer getting coupled. I thought it was cute that he was going to be on TV though. The theme line - hmm, would it be that Mordichai's evil father was plaguing everyone throughout the stories until he got his comuppance with the Reversal spell chamber moment? Yea, he was a real stinker that one. I try to keep a journal (silly isn't it?) of all the stories I've read, with a little info to help me remember what they're about and where they rate on my "really liked that one" scale. I don't have too much room for great detail, hence forgettig about cute little Elmer. Yours always rated "Great, cool, funny, interesting concept and great relationship journey."
I also read Wild Thing from the anthology Essence of Midnight. I labeled that one, "fun and romantic". I liked that love tamed the savage beast, so to speak. *grin*
I'll look for Cat's Fancy next. And of course I anticipate The Givenchy Code arriving in my local book store next month. I've already heard that its great.
Oh, I have in front of me, a bookmark from a lady I met who owns a bookstore (there's a LONG story behind that, that I won't bore you with) and it lists your up-in-coming books. What is Night Moves and First Love about? (besides romance *grin*) I'll understand if you can't do that yet, but as the saying goes, "nothing ventured, nothing gained"...
Sorry to be long of wind. I do tend to get carried away but I find it hard not to when there is the opportunity to "talk" with one of my fav authors. It's like Alladin and the Lamp ,wishes or questions are answered. Hard to resist.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for responding to my other comment...more like a letter :-)
toodles

Heck, it's great to chat with you, too!

Yupper, Elmer got himself a girlfriend. No frisky ferret scenes, but that's probably for the best :)

As for the theme line, LOL, yeah, you nailed it. Not too subtle, eh? Seriously, the real story arc is Mordi's character development. He changes a LOT from the first book to the last.

Funny you should mention Wild Thing. I LOVED that novella. I'm toying with a proposal for a romance series with a similar theme, but haven't finished putting it together. Hopefully I'll have some time to fiddle w/ that before the summer's over.

Let's see, NIGHT MOVES is a Blaze, with a best friends turned lovers theme. The concept is 24 hours. In other words, the entire book takes place in 24 hours during a blackout in New York. The book is, um, hot! And FIRST LOVE is the fourth book in a series. The first is out in June, FIRST DATE by Karen Kendall. Followed by FIRST KISS by Kylie Adams and FIRST DANCE by Karen Kendall, then my FIRST LOVE. My book is the story of the bride, and the three that come before each focus on one of the bridesmaids who are determined to stop my girl's whirlwind wedding. Check it out!! (I'll be doing web updates soon and posting an excerpt).

OK, back to writing!

Oh My Gosh! My "to be read" pile just went over my head! But I'm a good little reader, I'll keep my eyes pealed for the titles you listed. I encourage and you have my full support of further exploring the shifter *sigh* universe from the novella (yippee!) and I look forward to those excerpts. You are SO nice!
If I had a glass of some yummy beverage, I'd raise it and say"
Three cheers to your creative muse"
Happy writing.
