I've got bits and pieces of news balanced against a deadline that is bearing down on me. So here's the down and dirty:

1) Spanish rights to The Givenchy Code have sold! Yay!!

2) I thought the Robert McKee Story seminar was absolutely fabulous. I'll probably post more at some point or do an article, but suffice it to say the seminar both made me think and (more importantly) got me through some story issues. (It had the unintended side effect of making me want to write a screenplay again, something I haven't done in about 10 years, and I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THAT MUSE. But she won't shut up, and my muses usually get what they want, so I may be posting that I've finished a screenplay one of these days.)

3) ENDGAME by Dee Davis is still on shelves and fabulous. An RT top pick. Don't miss this one!

4) THE DIVA'S GUIDE TO SELLING YOUR SOUL by Kathleen O'Reilly is about to hit the shelves. I adore this book. Don't miss it either!

5) C sat through all of The Wizard of Oz (amazing!) and when the part came where the black and white changed to color, she sat up and yelled, "What the HECK happened!" D and I cracked up. Her new phrase is also "freaking me out." I realize this all reflects back on me, but I just find it so danged amusing!

6) Great article on me in the Williamson County paper last Sunday. Front page of the Life section and everything. This was the first time I'd ever been interviewed in my home with photographers. And believe me, I don't do photographs well. But they actually turned out good! And the article is great, too. So, yay!!
