ALMOST THERE!!! The end is in sight!
I think I must be experiencing some physics phenomenon. Like time expanding to fill a vacuum, procrastination expands to fill a manuscript. I am 2 and one half scenes away from "The End" with the entire book proofed up to the beginning of the last chapter. It's close. I can see it. I can imagine the hero's big speech at the end. Heck, I've even got tears in my eyes at the thought of it (no, really, and good tears, too. emotional moment stuff). So why, why, why am I not there yet, especially since I really want/need/should send the mss off to my editor tonight? And promised myself I wouldn't go to sleep until I was done? Why am I not cranking like a machine? Why am I typing this? Honestly, I don't know. I wish I did. Considering the procrastination techniques of all the writers I know, if I could figure out the cause and the cure ... and then market it ... I'd be a very rich women.
