The Wrld of Marion-Net E-zines

The decade that followed the end of the Second World war brought about the most creative, inventive, and explosive era in American music. Country music came out of the rural hills and became a national force, modern jazz evolved out of bebop, popular standards experienced their "golden" decade, and the urban blues and boogie woogie led to the roots of rock and roll. Almost all types of this American art form underwent massive and sometimes revolutionary changes during these remarkable ten years. The following on-line publications chronicle the history of these events and performers, many of whom have been largely forgotten by most of us. Most, but not all - and that is the major reason for this undertaking. So : Read, reminisce, and remember !
