The RPM Records Story
The founding of RPM Records came in 1950 as a second part of the growing recording empire of the Bihari Brothers Joe and Jules (which also later included the Flair, Kent, and Meteor labels). RPM Records started out as the home base for Memphis blues singer-guitarist B.B. King, and later featured other R & B performers and vocal groups. This is not a complete list but a representative listing of RPM releases during the first half of the decade of the 50s.
