The songs, stories, and active participation were wonderful. The wild animal display provided a colorful backdrop for the audience. The theme, "The Day the Library Went Wild," is of interest to all ages...There was a little something for each age group in this show--interactive stories for little ones, focus on endangered animals, songs and poetry that all ages enjoyed...Many parents have come in since the show and commented on how much fun they had and how important it is for children to be made aware of the plight of endangered animals and what can be done to make a difference. - Dana Hegquist, Southold Free Library
I thought that the program was wonderful. The songs really got the children involved. They were doing the motions all day! It was funny, yet serious at the same time. - Jennifer Dawnkaski, Theodore Roosevelt E.S. , 3rd grade
My class really enjoyed the assembly. We did a lot of work before the assembly on all the things you sing about in your songs. I know my children learned a lot from your music. Thank you for your wonderful music. I hope we hear a lot more of your music in the future. My class sang along the whole time and were thrilled when you came back to our classroom for a visit. - Coleen Brunken, Theodore Roosevelt E.S. , 1st grade
I thought Jay Mankita was one of the best performers and assemblies we have ever had here. He related beautifully to the children. His message was educationally sound. He was able to get the students wildly motivated and bring them back down to quiet and calm. My class enjoyed the performance very much. I liked the music--We had fun! - Jean Smyth, 3rd grade Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
Jay's use of poetry combined with his performing skills were a delight...this assembly was perfect in that it stimulated the written word with the performance skills. - Jack Knapik, 5th grade Teacher, Apalachin E.S.

We loved it! The stories and music were appropriate to my grade level, and I appreciate that! - Miss Guilfoyle, Kindergarten Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
Worthwhile, quality entertainment. Talented musician and performer. Content age appropriate for elementary. Liked the variety of selections performed (poetry and songs). I really appreciated the way you had the whole audience involved in the "silent," calming ending to "Wide-mouth Frog." It set a good tone to head back to the classroom. - Jackie Mooney, 4th & 5th grade Resource Room Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
Excellent--very good rapport with the audience, creative ideas and approach. - Eleanor Ernest, Enrichment Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
I thought the program was excellent. The theme and materials were age appropriate. I liked the fact the children had prior preparation for the songs he presented. The children liked having audience participation. - J. DeNap, 1st grade Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
My class and I loved your program. The songs, movements, and stories kept us all captivated for the entire show. I liked how you were very good at regaining quiet control of the group after a noisy chorus, etc. Wonderful job! - Erin Ripic, 4th grade Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
Loved it. Kids were involved, but then settled down. Thanks. They had very favorable comments about it when they came back. - Miss Watson, Kindergarten Teacher, Apalachin E.S.
