'Wild Songs & Natural Stories is the same ecologically oriented concert as: 'The Day The School Went Wild' & 'The Day The Library Went Wild', but with a name that's more appropriate for other venues, like museums, rec programs, camps, festivals, parks, environmental centers, and houses of worship.
An exciting, interactive concert with a positive, ethical perspective for reading-age kids and their families featuring songwriter/ storyteller Jay Mankita .
This concert features songs and stories about wild animals, wilderness, and the wild human being inside of us. The message of this show is that each one of us is important, and can help make a difference in this world!
Kids participate through singing and guessing-along, sign language and hand movements taught during the show, and plenty of animal noises. The creation of a vocal rainforest is one of the highlights of the show.
A beautiful backdrop of colorful, hand-painted animal sculptures completes the scene. Kids can come dressed as wild animals!
